Wendy Davis has closed the gap in the first post-primary poll in the Texas Governor's race. The survey found Greg Abbott receiving less than 50% of the overall vote, and Davis closing the gap to within single digits - 49% to 42%.

The poll, which is the first conducted since Abbott campaigned with Ted Nugent, was released by the Emerson College Polling Society and conducted from March 7 to March 12.
