Early Voting Begins Monday, October 21

TEXAS – With the U.S. Senate race polling near tied and as U.S. Senator Ted Cruz deflects from ethics complaints over his podcast benefiting a political action committee, U.S. Representative and ex-NFL player, Colin Allred will face off against the embattled incumbent. You can watch on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 7 PM CT on broadcast and digital platforms such as WFAA, KVUE, KENS, and KHOU.

“Texans deserve a candidate who will fight for them,” said Advocacy Manager Reagan Stone. “Allred is a winner who flipped his district from red to blue and kept it that way, by serving all constituents. He knows the importance of building a big tent that captures all the voters we need to kick Ted out of office — winning over suburban women, everyday rural families, and young voters — because he’s done it before and he’ll do it again, this November 5th.”

“Progress Texas urges all patriotic Texans to vote for our freedoms—the freedom to choose our leaders, to control our own bodies and futures, and to work and live in communities safe from crime and pollution,” said Kathleen Thompson, executive director at Progress Texas. “Texans must ultimately be united because of who we’re against. Ted Cruz abandoned Texas in a climate disaster, American democracy on January 6, 2021 (and election denials since), and puts all Americans at risk by opposing abortion rights and gun safety measures. Together, we can send Ted packing.”
